The volume compiled by Valentin Maier contains a collection of 110 documents sourced from the archives of the Faculty of History at the University of Bucharest (AFIUB), the Archives of the Ministry of Education (AMEd), the Central National Historical Archives Service (SANIC), the Galați County National Archives Service (SJGAN), and the Bucharest Municipal National Archives Service (SMBAN). The editor's stated objective is to contribute to the expansion of the history of higher education, to capture the intellectual curiosity of both the general public and specialists, and, last but not least, to encourage "similar publications and the development of new fields of research."
