Summary/Abstract: The article examines the anthroponymy of the Jewish community in Falenica (a district of present-day Warsaw), focusing on names recorded in the death register of the Falenica Synagogue District between 1920 and 1934. The study investigates the cultural and linguistic origins of these names, analyzing their biblical, Yiddish, post-biblical, and borrowed origins. The research highlights patterns of naming traditions among Falenica Jews, including the prevalence of biblical names and the influence of multilingual and multicultural environments. The findings contribute to the broader study of Polish-Jewish linguistic and cultural interactions in the early 20th century.
