Summary/Abstract: The article examines the usage and meaning of the Polish adjectives niemoralny ("immoral") and nieetyczny ("unethical") based on their collocations with selected nouns. The study investigates whether these words are truly synonymous or whether their usage follows specific tendencies. Using corpus data from MoncoPL, the author analyzes contexts in which these adjectives appear and identifies differences in their applications. The findings suggest that while both adjectives are sometimes used interchangeably, niemoralny is more frequently associated with violations of moral and social norms, while nieetyczny tends to be linked to professional ethics and misconduct in institutional settings. The study also highlights cases where the two adjectives co-occur in the same sentence, suggesting nuanced distinctions between them.
