Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian theater has undergone a profound transformation, gaining new societal resonance and significance. This war period has prompted active engagement, rethinking traditional approaches in theater management, and making theater more accessible to the audience. A notable trend this year is the emergence of directors who draw audiences as much as the performances themselves. Theaters have become therapeutic spaces, where people can reflect, participate, and seek connections, serving as a means of cultural diplomacy. Productions have addressed social issues like war, migration, and post-traumatic stress, with plays such as "The Milkman" and "Can You Hear Me..." highlighting the realities of occupation and the role of women in the post-war future. Theaters have also contributed to national defense, with fundraising efforts and performances dedicated to supporting the military. Modern adaptations of classic works have flourished, experimenting with new forms and involving the audience directly in the theatrical experience. The season has shown the importance of theater as a cultural resistance space and a vital part of Ukrainian identity, with expectations for further development and media integration in the future.
