Summary/Abstract: The final chapter sums up the role and place of Omer Mujadžić in the history of the modern Croatian art scene, as a participant in Croatian modernism, but also of contemporary art trends. Here we have a painter who was active from the early 1920s to the last decade of the century, so that along with a consideration and appraisal of his work as a painter, it enables one track the trends and shifts of the Croatian art scene. Omer Mujadžić made a particularly significant contribution to modern Croatian painting between the two world wars, a time when Croatian art formed, at its most direct, part of the European trends of the 1920s and early 1930s. The distinctive feature of his style is its consistent striving to achieve a figurative, realistic mode of presentation, while respecting the example of traditional painters and achieving high standards in his metier and quality as a painter.
