HISTORY OF TIMESHARING CONTRACTS

Summary/Abstract: Timesharing, as a way of vacation home sharing for a certain period of time, has been constantly developing since its beginning, and there has been increasing number of people interested in making a timesharing contract. Even though the first timesharing projects were started more than 40 years ago there is still a long list of legal questions which need to be answered. Practically, these contracts were coined as no name contracts, as a part of autonomous contract law. Adjusting to the market requirements, timesharing contracts have constantly been changed and new types of contracts have been developed. The term timesharing involves different types of contracts which have one element in common, the common right to use resort units at different period of time.
