Cooperation of Social Custodians with Professional Custodians in the Family Court

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the issues related to the cooperation of social custodians with professional custodians in one of the custodian teams at the District Court for Łódź Widzew. It also presents the results of the survey on this subject, carried out by the author in 2008 among social and professional custodians. Following the survey, we have established factors which facilitate or impede such cooperation, have assessed the results of efforts undertaken by professional and social custodians, and have formulated a number of conclusions and suggestions on how to reach a more effective cooperation between professional and social custodians in the performance of resocialization tasks.
