Summary/Abstract: Critical study on “trivialization” the literature, as one of the dominant literary phenomena in the last 30 years. On the example of Dubravka Ugrešić’s novel “Forsiranje romana reke”/“The Forcing of River Novel”, as the real example of new poetics, an attitude is shown on simplification of literary form, as opposed to establishment of real literary values. Literary theory and criticism discourse is also put in focus of critics’ attention, and theoreticians and literary critics are considered as one of protagonists of trivialization of literature and, consequently, literary taste.
