Summary/Abstract: This paper is devoted to the Soviet attempts to establish woodworking industry in Karelia by means of adoption of technologies and equipment from Finland. However, as the author concludes that the enterprises were not fully upgraded, because a large part of the new devices wasn’t brought into action. However, in the USSR cooperation with Finland was estimated high, but first of all in political sphere.
