Kuban and the Caucasian Pontic as a historical and geographical regions (the end of the XVIII – beginning of the XX century).

Summary/Abstract: The paper considers the problem of Krasnodar region administrative division in retrospective. Some attention is also paid to demographic transformations. The historical geography study of the region has a great importance for the correct interpretation of sources and literature of different ages.
