Summary/Abstract: The goal of research, consumption of natural resources and preservation of the environment, what is our current situation and what kind of future do we expect in the global production and consumption process. The collected data, in fact, represent information for assessing the current state of the environment, but also an assessment of what state we expect in the future. The data bank is a question in itself if we do not check and edit them, they always introduce certain doubts about subjectivity, and the accuracy itself can be questionable. Reliable data is a warning signal of certain changes in the environment, and it is intelligence that enables us to react quickly to unforeseen changes in the environment. Environmental pollution is the conscious or unconscious introduction of polluting substances or dirty energy into the living and working environment, caused by human activity or natural processes, which has or may have harmful consequences on the quality of the living and working environment and human health. Then, when damages occur in the environment, various remediation measures are taken, i.e. rehabilitation. In that case, solving environmental problems requires the creation of institutional, economic and political frameworks at the global, national, regional and local levels.
