Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to conduct a long-term prospective evaluation of the impact of socio-demographic factors on students and their health behaviors. The study utilized a diagnostic survey method with a standardized interview questionnaire. The research was carried out among 905 first-year students from medical and non-medical faculties at the University of Rzeszów and the Rzeszów University of Technology. The study, initially conducted in 2009, was repeated two years later to assess changes in health behavior patterns. The results showed a significant improvement in health behaviors in 2012 compared to 2009, particularly in categories such as proper eating habits and preventive behaviors. Women exhibited more health-conscious attitudes than men, while medical students displayed stronger pro-health behaviors compared to their non-medical counterparts.
