Developing „Open close technique“ for drumming

Summary/Abstract: When playing drum sets, and snare drums in particular, different positions, as well as playing techniques, are used. The present research describes in greater detail the techniques used in playing drum sets, applied mostly in pop, rock and jazz music, i.e. the OpenCloseTechnique, used by drummers like Buddy Rich and Jojo Mayer. Attached are also examples of music sheets and illustrations in support of the easier adoption of this technique.
