Summary/Abstract: In the light of the results of recent systematic archaeological research at the Slana site in Gornji Karin, this paper examines the distribution of population on the territory of Roman-era Corinium from the earliest historical periods to the end of the Early Middle Ages. Data published in reports from archaeological investigations of the wider territory of the community from the middle of the 20th century to present day, supplemented with information from historical sources about political and military events in the wider area, were used in the reconstruction of the population. Although material remains regarding certain historical periods appear only sporadically, they clearly bear witness to the continuity of life, and the dense population distribution of the observed area from the earliest historical periods.
