Responsibility before history and society is on all of us, even more on the archive workers, who must leave a trace, point to gaps and offer solutions. Archival professionals must make a clear turn , which implies a clear vision of the archival profession that is to be a part of the same European and world family. We must realize that this can not be done by politicization and etatization of archival profession, but with professionalism and knowledge with respect to international standards and norms, the Code of Ethics and all other positive values that can contribute to the development of the archival profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It must be understood that we should learn from the best, to be a success in the profession measured by concrete result , the necessary knowledge and professionalism, not political and other viability.
