Summary/Abstract: Measures to ensure access to digital cultural content are increasing accessibility of digital cultural content, particularly the Internet, to support the development and operation of e-services, e-commerce, “one-stop” portals of information systems for the maintenance and use of digital content and online services. Among the most important points of the Slovenian „digital cultural strategy”, which refers to the recommendations of the European Council , also participate in the establishment and maintenance of a web portal for documents and archives in Europe. The Slovenian strategy is to support the development of national information technology infrastructure to ensure the proper preservation of digital data is defined as one of the priority areas of action. Effective information system combines elements of architecture and design, which is a scalable, cost-effective, technically reliable and is able to satisfy the information needs of the business. Archives are also committed to interoperability and connectivity. By definition, interoperability is the ability of two or more systems or components to exchange with each other and use information. It is also necessary to think about “archival convergence” in terms of connectivity archives. Interoperability and convergence of ICT are among the most important conditions for the successful development of the information society.
