Summary/Abstract: The digital vision of the city of Aschaffenburg emphasizes that the digital transformation of a city is primarily not a question of technology. People are at the center. "Dialog City" sets itself apart from the commonly used term "Smart City." "Dialog City" is a coined term derived from analog, digital, and dialogue. Aschaffenburg sees its population as co-creators of their own digital future. This future can and should also be communicated, explained, and shaped locally (analog). Both digital and analog access to digitalization are key aspects of the participatory digital strategy of the Aschaffenburg City and Abbey Archive.
