Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the most serious and common mental problems of young people and addresses the epidemiology of suicide, self-injury, depressive and anxiety disorders among children and adolescents. It also raises the issue of the current condition of psychiatric and psychological care in Poland, as well as of the level of trust in psychologists.
