Summary/Abstract: The science of Social Work needs an independent domain which is specific enough to define Social Work from other sciences and professions, and general enough to meet the diversity of Social Work Practice. Here, social problems are often mentioned as a possible object for Social Work. The perception is that the system-theoretical designed Social Work most immediately gives consideration to this request.
