Summary/Abstract: The article aims to outline the trends of presence of Jadwiga Papi’s works on the publishing market and among readers. The material research and analyses of bibliographic studies allow to confirm the general tendencies: from great popularity of Teresa Jadwiga’s works during her lifetime (1843–1906) devoted to educational activities during the period of intense Russification, through a significant decline during the Second Polish Republic (1918–1939), ending with almost complete oblivion after World War II. One of the most important authors of children’s books in the second half of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century, she became over time a forgotten writer, whose abundant literary output has not been comprehensively studied. For many years now, Papi’s name has often been mentioned in studies on literature for children and teenagers, but her works do not arouse the interest of publishers and readers.
