Summary/Abstract: Between 21–29 June 2024, theatre professionals gathered in Kisvárda for the 36th time to see the past season’s outstanding performances produced by Hungarian theatres from Hungary and beyond in the form of a festival. Katalin Gyürky was primarily interested in the question whether one could find hidden or not so hidden connections between the various productions seen at the prestigious professional gathering, although they were featuring plays by different classical and contemporary authors and represented very different directorial visions.
