Summary/Abstract: The Civil Code reflects a new conception regarding the object of the contract, an institution often disputed in the specialized doctrine. Relevant in this regard are the provisions of art. 1225 and 1226 of the Civil Code in which the legislator distinguishes between the object of the contract and the object of the obligation. In this context, we propose to approach this institution from the perspective of the sales contract with an emphasis on the new elements introduced by the current regulation, both in terms of the sold good and the sale price
