Summary/Abstract: This species belongs to the category of inedible mushrooms, being known and avoided even by the locals who have minimal contact with mushroom harvesting whether it is for consumption or for trade. In the past, according to some elderly inhabitants, the mushroom was used in herbal medicine (naturopathic medicine) and it has been precisely known the amount of it that could induce the 'drunkenness' state without having serious effects on the animal or human body. Unfortunately, most individuals of this species are destroyed when they are found in the forest, as most of the rural dwellers are not aware of the importance of the species in the ecosystem. The purpose of this article is to determine the population level of fly agaric by interseasonal comparison, the dynamics of population over time, as well as the factors that influence the above mentioned aspects.
