Summary/Abstract: The idea of the integration of management systems is often abused in practice by defining diverse activities, not necessarily consistent, aimed at achieving various objectives by the enterprise, as an integrated system. In other words, not all actions undertaken to manage various aspects may be regarded as an integrated system. It is sometimes possible to come across a not fully justified use of the notion of an integrated system towards various activities undertaken as part of one specified management aspect, e.g. quality. Such situations lead to attempts to define the terms and conditions forthe integration of management systems in a more precise manner (Bleicher,K., 1991, 203).
