Summary/Abstract: In the judgment commented on, the European Court of Human Rights condemns the Russian State for the violation of freedom of expression and, more specifically, for the interference with the exercise of journalistic activity through the carrying out of searches that disregard the right to a fair trial. The study highlights the methods of intimidation used by the Russian authorities against journalists in order to force them to adhere to and promote the official political discourse.
