Summary/Abstract: This paper contains an exhibition report. Women have historically faced significant barriers in entering the field of architecture, primarily due to societal expectations and restricted access to formal education. Despite progress, systemic disadvantages persist. The exhibition "Liberated Space: Care – Architecture – Feminism" at the City Gallery of Bratislava explores a space free from biases, highlighting past battles, ongoing struggles, and future challenges. Curator Petra Hlaváčková and the exhibition architects present a collage of personal stories and theoretical contexts, emphasizing collaboration over individual genius. The exhibition critiques traditional gender roles, particularly under socialism, and showcases initiatives like Architektky, which support networking among women in architecture. It advocates for reforming the architectural profession to embrace collective approaches and diverse perspectives, concluding with a call for caring designers and planners.
