Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the use of participatory and semi-direct mechanisms in Bulgaria, provided for by the Constitution or by law, by interest groups and parties, including the Eurosceptic party, in order to put their objectives and programs on the political agenda. The author pays particular attention to the regulation of these mechanisms by the National Assembly and the Constitutional Court in order to ensure an implementation that is both effective and respectful of the rules and principles of democracy and the Rule of law.
