Summary/Abstract: Transnational adoption presents a series of legal, social, and ethical challenges that test the traditional boundaries of family law. This article aims to examine the complexity of international adoptions by exploring the legislative connections between various national regulations, the role of international treaties such as the 1993 Hague Convention, and the delicate balance between child protection, family integrity, and national sovereignty. Through a comparative analysis of adoption policies in different national jurisdictions, the authors identify major issues such as jurisdictional conflicts, differences in adoption eligibility criteria, and associated risks. The psycho-social effects on adopted children, adoptive parents, and biological families are also analyzed, highlighting the necessity for awareness and respect for ethical standards and culturally sensitive traditions in this field. The authors conclude with recommendations to promote transparency, ethical standards, and cross-border cooperation with the aim of protecting the child's best interests while respecting the cultural and legal diversity of the involved states.
