Summary/Abstract: Turkic languages have a rich lexical composition. Some of them are words of the ancient Turkic language, dating back to the times before the emergence of independent Turkic languages. These lexical units embody the lifestyle of the modern Turkish people, their thinking and philosophy. There are many such language units, but among them there are those that are relevant today. In particular, the concept of “yurd”, which includes the semantics of Vətən, yurd, od, ocaq, ev, retains many semantic features of the ancient vocabulary of the Turkic languages. As studies on Turkic languages deepen, it is discovered that sometimes the main acts of general thought have entered the essence of this concept. It is very interesting to study them in this context both linguistically and sociologically.
