Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Academy and the National Museum of Romanian Literature organized, on the 22nd of September 2021, in the "Ion Heliade Radulescu" Amphitheatre of the Library of the Romanian Academy, the scientific session "Neagoe Basarab - 500 years from his death''. Hierarchs, members of the highest scientific and cultural forum of Romania, clergymen, professors and researchers in sundry fields took part in this special event. The representative of His Beatitude Father Daniel was the Patriarchal Vicar-Bishop Varlaam Ploie~teanul. The event was streamed online in real time and took place within the context of the accomplishment, on the 15th of September 2021, of five centuries since the departure to the Lord of Saint Voivode Neagoe Basarab whose remembrance was decided by the Romanian Orthodox Church to be celebrated on the 26th of September.
