Summary/Abstract: When editing and revising the adjectives in the lexical database of the Czech‑German Academic Dictionary suggestions are offered based on both corpus analyses and reflections on entries in modern German‑language and Czech dictionaries. Some of the decisions made during the revision work are of a technical nature, but when analyzing the entire spectrum of data, questions arise that need to be considered from both a linguistic and a translator’s point of view. The text provides annotated text samples of selected database entries to demonstrate the problem of equivalence from the translator’s point of view.
