Summary/Abstract: The Roman villa near Ivaylovgrad, known by its modern name Armira, was excavated and studied by Janka Mladenova (1923–1981). The results of her research were ready to be published by 1978, but the archaeologist’s untimely death delayed the publication until 1991, when her colleagues published that part of it which dealt with the architectural decoration of the villa, including the remarkable panelling of the walls with engraved marble slabs. The villa also has a very rich mosaic decoration. In a number of contributions, Janka Mladenova discussed some of the mosaics, mainly the figural ones. This article presents the text from her archives, which describes the geometric mosaic in room No. 13.
