Summary/Abstract: Objective: The aim of the study was to verify the links between work-life balance (WLB), determination (grit) and the satisfaction of the needs of autonomy, competence and bonds with other peopleat work and selected aspects of the well-being of employees of Polish corporations in the period after the COVID-19 pandemic. The study aimed to understand what factors are associated with the psychological well-being of employees in changing professional conditions.Method: The study involved 77 women and 44 men aged 19–68, employees of Warsaw branches of companies with a corporate character. The study was conductedusing the Work-Life Balance Questionnaire – assessing the balance between work and private life, the Short Grit Scale – measuring the level of determination, the “When I am at work” Questionnaire – assessing the satisfaction of the needs of autonomy, competence and bonds with other people, and the Psychological Well-Being Scales – measuringthe level of psychological well-being. In the data analysis, multivariate regression analysis and Spearman's rho correlation analysis were used. Results: Multivariate regression analysis showed that significant predictors of employee well-being were: determination (beta = 0.41; p < 0.001), satisfaction of the need for relationships with other people (beta = 0.25; p < 0.001), work-life balance (beta = 0.21; p < 0.001) and satisfaction of the need for autonomy (beta = 0.16; p < 0.05). Relationships between the analyzed variables and six aspects of well-being measured using the Ryff PWBS scale were also demonstrated. Conclusion: The results of the study confirm that work-life balance, determination and satisfaction of the needs for autonomy, competence and relationships with other people are significant predictors of the psychological well-being of employees of Polish corporations. In particular, determination and work-life balance can have a significant impact on a sense of fulfillmentand job satisfaction. These results underline the importance of creating a work environment thatsupports work-life balance andsupports the individual needs of employees.
