Summary/Abstract: This paper attempts to present a picture of the influence of human capital on labor resources in post-revolutionary Romania. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the formal education system and its effects on employment and labor productivity. It should be noted that this paper focuses on formal education as a means of accumulation of human capital. In the literature there are voices that say the education is “the strong heart” of human capital theory or that education is “the main source” of growth. Therefore, this concentration seems justified, since education increases the ability of people to learn throughout life and live a healthier life.
