Summary/Abstract: The paper presents some theoretical and experimental aspects in obtaining the parametric mannequin used for training or virtual reality simulation software. The data obtained from 3D body scan consists in an unorganized cloud points. The parameterization objective is to obtain a symmetrical body mesh from a raw body captured from 3D scanner. The basic body (cloud points) captured presents the noises, holes that consist on the lack or points surplus. The advantages of using a parametric mannequin into the virtual garment software are the possibility of resizing dimensions according to the input data entered by user. The user can define his mannequin (avatar) starting from his body dimensions. Here is the possibility to save user’s mannequin and to import in other game or training software application used.
