Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to discuss the role of Internet in promoting literature in Romania, a gateway to culture shared by young generations, in general. Taking into consideration the official and the private (personal) sites, we try to identify the positive and negative elements of the on line phenomenon, the importance of self-imposed censorship in competition with free expression on the Internet, the accessibility of information in parallel with the "art" of knowing how to discern the value of non-value, the features of the virtual teacher, etc.
