Summary/Abstract: The text provides an introduction to analyses of the social exclusion of mothersof children with autism spectrum disorders. The aim is to highlight and discussseveral stories from the increasing number of printed accounts by mothers de-scribing their daily struggles with disability and social judgment. The discours-es of exclusion concerning this social group are a highly interesting researchtopic due to its multidimensionality and stereotypes ingrained in society.
