Summary/Abstract: The work provided an insight into the literary work of Hamid Dizdar, focusing especially on the elements of social involvement in his prose works of the interwar period. H. Dizdar already from his literary works beginnings, worldview and poetic, both in poetry and prose, shows sensitivity towards social issue. Over time, his social involvement in the literary and artistic sense will be more and more pronounced and closer to the requirements which the social literature movement puts in front of the authors, often obscuring his writing talent, thereby diminishing the artistic potential and scope of his creativity.
