Summary/Abstract: The debate of the Researchers from the Centre of Cultural and Literary Studies on Communism deals with new research perspectives and methodological solutions related to the topic of Communism. In recent years once can observe a distinct revival and increase in the interest in communism and the Peoples’ Republic period in Poland, even though it has been almost 25 years since their collapse. Communism and the Peoples’ Republic are a persistent component of contemporary life. They cannot be reduced to the subject of academic or professional research or interpretation, but remain a recurrent motive and point of reference for the contemporary. The weight of this subject encourages to a more systematic and general as well as critical analysis of the phenomenon itself as well as numerous cultural and literary discourses which have surrounded it.
