Summary/Abstract: Although gender equality is one of the fundamental values that the European Union promotes and sets as a condition for its potential members, its presence in the language has faced opposing opinions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia. The aim of this research is to analyse the databases on regulated professions in the four countries in order to investigate to what degree gender sensitivity is present in the language of these documents and which nouns deviate from gender (in)sensitivity.
