Summary/Abstract: This study is the practical application of the „subsidiarity approach to food security“, the concept theoretically reflected in my article „Between Grassroot Initiatives and a Large Institutional Agenda: Seeking Subsidiarity Approach to Food Security“ published in the journal LOGOS 117 (Mašek 2023). After a brief presentation of ´a renewed´ interpretation of subsidiarity concept inspired by Catholic social thought, the study provides five concrete models of subsidiarity-oriented food security practice at different levels of social-civic life (communal, urban, regional, national and supranational). The practical examples presented in this article show how carefully and dialogically formulated ideas from Christian social thought can stimulate ethical reflection far beyond faith communities, serving those who might otherwise be unlikely to consider them.
