Summary/Abstract: Environmental changes due to global warming pose new challenges for humanity. The environmental degradation experienced in recent years has now reached its maximum, and many researchers and scientists have been predicting the consequences for years. Climate change and irreversible environmental degradation are causing, and will continue to cause, new problems that are worth preparing for. The energy crisis, rising sea levels, environmental degradation, resource exploitation, loss of agricultural land, food supply problems are all challenges that threaten the future of humanity. The Project Management Institute’s (PMI) 2021 Top 50 list of projects ranks and examines projects that are innovative, novel and therefore worthy of attention. Among these projects, there are many that seek to address and respond to these environmental challenges. The aim of this study is to provide an insight into the user perception of the scope of these projects by evaluating three projects selected from the 2021 list. This will help to identify the values and considerations that can help project managers and leaders in the design of similar projects in the future, in order to develop more usable solutions that are adapted to customer needs and respond to global environmental change.
