Summary/Abstract: Encryption manifests itself in narration through “pitfalls” which slow down or stop the narrative. As the fictional author is the source of the story, the encrypted work gives him the possibility of coexisting with trauma. We are going to mention some historical details which, in our opinion, can explain such a novel, mixture between the autobiographical and the historical. The details of places and events provide identifiable chronological markers in an expressly dated time and draw the time of fiction into the space of the gravitation of historical time.
