Summary/Abstract: This study explores the rules of community behavior in traditional Romanian mentality and compares them with those found in the Pravila of Govora, one of the oldest legal codes in Romania. It examines how social norms, customs, and moral principles shaped communal life and how these were reinforced or modified by written laws. By analyzing both folk traditions and legal provisions, the study highlights similarities and differences in the regulation of social conduct, offering insight into the historical evolution of Romanian legal and moral frameworks.
