Grounds for the Initiation of Administrative Proceedings under the Conflict of Interest Prevention and Ascertainment Act

Summary/Abstract: ADMINISTRATIVE LAW // The article analyzes the three grounds which the Conflict of Interest Prevention and Ascertainment Act can use in order to initiate administrative proceedings: an alert, a Commission decision and an application submitted by a person concerned. The author presents the general characteristics as well as the legal essence and consequences of each of those grounds. The author holds that the alert is a public procedural right which enables the citizens to control the authorities.
