Summary/Abstract: The conduct of the banking business organization is essential for the effective functioning of credit institutions. Nowadays bank’s organizational structures are highly decentralized and adapted to the dynamics of processes developing within the financial market. They are well adapted to making rapid and timely managerial decisions. Various types of organizational structures are known, but the most commonly used in practice are the functional, divisional, matrix and holding structures. Each contains a number of advantages and disadvantages. Through their research into the vertical and horizontal links and relationships that exist between the divisions of individual credit institutions, a clear and accurate picture is obtained.
