On Freedoms

Summary/Abstract: I was asked to give a talk about freedom at the University of Nijmegen in Holland during their Philosophy Month. Since in Hungary it has become customary of late to decry the spirit of freedom, or to be terrified in advance of its expected demise and accept as fact that before long freedom will be a thing of the past, our lost treasure—because of all this, I fear that weary resignation will indeed cause it to vanish.
