Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the importance of educator and parent attitudes towards ethnic music for moral education of pre-school age children. On the basis of older and present generation Lithuanian educators' and ethnomusicologists' research, the importance of moral education for contemporary children is set forth as a priority education sphere. The article also discloses links between moral and aesthetic education and discusses the role of the family and educators in the process of moral education of pre-school age children. On the basis of the data acquired from the research, the article presents parent and teacher attitudes towards ethnic music having obvious significance for moral education of children.
