Individual Work of Social Pedagogues With Students Avoiding School Attendance

Summary/Abstract: Social pedagogues of Lithuania ate appointed to work with students avoiding school attendance. However, in spite of growing scientists' attention paid to work of social pedagogues at general education institutions, peculiarities of their work with students avoiding school attendance have still not been investigated. This fact encouraged the authot of the article to carry out a research, surveying, by means of qualitative interviewing, 76 social pedagogues working at genetal education schools. The research results revealed ways of planning work of social pedagogues with students avoiding school attendance, stages of fulfilment of this work, its principles, factors, conditioning its effectiveness, problems and landmarks for solving them.
