Summary/Abstract: Social economy organizations are economic and social players active in all sectors of society, including co-operatives, mutual societies, associations and foundations. These organizations are characterized by a strong personal involvement of its members in the management of the company and the absence of seeking profits in order to remunerate shareholders capital. Successful in economic terms, the social economy sector creates jobs, promoting the fullest possible participation in the economic and social development of all people. They also have a great contribution in the implementation of important community objectives, particularly in the fields of employment, social cohesion, regional and rural development, environmental and consumer protection, and social security policies, meeting successfully the socio-cultural dimension of sustainable development goals.
